EVENTS. Lithuanian Music at the Frankfurt Music Fair

A joint stand of Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian music publishers and information centres was set up for the third time at the Frankfurt Music Fair (March 29-April 1).

"Baltic Music" stand hosted the Lithuanian-German music publisher Intermusic, which has recently published an extensive collection of Balys Dvarionas' music, including easy repertoire for piano, violin and piano, and some larger works: Concerto for piano and chamber orchestra No. 2 as well as Concerto for violin and symphony orchestra. Intermusic catalogue also includes pieces by Jonas Tamulionis, Jurgis Juozapaitis, Feliksas Bajoras, Eduardas Balsys, Ričardas Biveinis, and a large series of Nomeda Valančiūtė's music.

Lithuanian Music Information and Publishing Centre presented its latest editions, including the new collections for piano (Diapason, Vol 1&2) and flute ensemble (Flautando), pieces by Algirdas Martinaitis and Gintaras Sodeika as well as other publications numbering at more than 60 in the centre's catalogue.
