Having emerged on the independent rock stage fairly silently and unpretentiously, avoiding loud revolutionary promises or demonstrative and arrogant remarks about the Lithuanian music scene, .D.S.. seem to be champions in their own league so far. Without too many words they frequent most alternative music festivals, put on their own shows, release self-designed limited edition records and draw the attention of the independent music mavericks. There are no words in the trio’s music either – rejection of song texts and preference for long, dark, abstract and extremely technical instrumentals marks the determination to stay away from being too straightforward and banal. Yet saying that the atmospheric music of .D.S.. is mute simply wouldn’t make sense.
