Velvet jazzy grooves, heartfelt (or, at times, tongue-in-cheek, as in the humorous Money Honey) lyrics and fresh performance can indeed make 2Good sound too good to be true. This impression is only strengthened when one looks at the band’s lineup. Bringing so many excellent young performers of jazz, funk and classical music (who also contribute their talents to other popular live bands like InCulto, Skamp and Caramel Members) together in one supergroup simply cannot result in anything other than great music. Having been a very promising collective from the very start, 2Good have already made it to some stages that say a lot about their ability, including Vilnius’ Neringa jazz club (Lithuanian jazzheads’ long-time Mecca) and St Catherine church, known for hosting concerts by acclaimed jazz and contemporary music performers. In a word, one cannot help but take their song line “nothing can hold us down” seriously, and these guys have some convincing evidence.
