Adas ir Viltė

The Lithuanian drummer and music producer Adas Gecevičius and singer Viltė Ambrazaitytė released their first electronic Lithuanian folk music album Dėl žalio žolyno in 2021. The duo join forces and try to revive local folklore in new ways. Adas and Viltė started their musical cooperation in 2012 when the Lithuanian folk song "Saulelė raudona" was arranged in the drum & bass style. Thereafter Viltė deepened her knowledge of folklore and searched for folk songs for the realisation of a project idea while singing in the ritual folk band Kūlgrinda and the folk-rock band Žalvarinis. Meanwhile, Adas, who produces music for Lithuanian and foreign performers and is a member of the bands Sheep Got Waxed and Vilniaus Energija, gave new life to authentic Lithuanian songs.
