Once after a creative experience with Karlheinz Stockhausen, British experimental music composer Cornelius Cardew wrote about two composers working on a single piece - chessboard moves are not verbalized, only responded musically. “... please leave your message after the tone ...“ is an electroacoustic composition created by two artists, Kristupas Bubnelis and Elias Brown (USA). The title of the piece implies a creative ping-pong between different continents, on the margins of a pandemic… The distance selected for the starting position - physical, metaphysical, virtual, etc. - is an idea that poetically developed into both compositional and performance planes. The two performers interact simultaneously as one instrument and as soloists. The sonic processes are permeated by subtle touches of electronics - a kind of virtual alter ego of the ensemble.
