Even though it is not a novel issue, this episode is, doubtlessly, the most shocking in the current collection. To nail down all (or almost all) keys of the piano – the following Fluxus piece by Jurgis Mačiūnas (known as George Maciunas in the US) is similar to numerous Fluxus art scenarios of the day, such as Philip Corner’s Piano Activities (the same 1962) or Tomas Schmit’s Sanitas No. 151, Fluxvariation 1 (year unknown). When this action is being performed or recorded today, it is nevertheless George Maciunas who is most often considered to be its originator.
